Las Vegas

Monday, 22 August 2016

If any of you have been to Las Vegas then you will know how amazing it is. Before I went there I thought that it would be boring since I was underage, meaning I would not be able to gamble, drink and go into some places. I thought I would be stuck in my hotel room with my sister whilst my family had fun. However, this was not the case!  Las Vegas is home to so many amazing places. The Vegas strip is by far the most mesmerizing thing I have ever seen. When you are walking down it feels like you are walking through different countries. This is because each hotel is themed after something different and has thing's there to help make you feel like you on in that country. They have things such as pyramid's, castle's, canal's and so much more.
During our visit, we went to see the Grand canyon, which was amazing. The view is unreal. And I felt like I was looking at a painting on the wall. There was no way this could be real.
Whilst we were in Vegas we also went to see Penn and Tellers show, which I must say was, well magical. The show was well put together, exciting and fun. They used the audience which helped make the magic seem more real. They did some amazing tricks which I still can not get my head around.
Vegas will always have a special place in my heart and I can not wait to visit again in May

Tattoo Update

Tuesday, 16 August 2016

3 Hours and 0 ideas!
On Saturday 13th August I had a tattoo appointment. I did not know what I wanted but I needed to think quickly. When I finished my first tattoo the man gave me an offer of 3 hours for £75. When I was there I thought this was great and I couldn't wait to get more added to it, plus I had around a month to think of  an idea. That month was not a very successful month when it came to thinking of a tattoo idea. I asked friends and family what I should get but no-one had any good ideas. In the end, I knew I wanted some shaded added and a plane but that was it.

In the morning we eat breakfast and set straight out to the town. We took the acensor down to the town and did a little bit of shopping. We all split up into pairs went shopping. After about an hour shopping and Elise went to an amazing dessert bar call Gelatomania. There were much amazing different types of crepes, ice creams, and waffles all for an extremely cheap price. On our way home we went back to the stall where they were selling amethyst necklaces which after the other day I needed to get. Once we got them we headed back to the house.

Thursday, 11 August 2016

My Nan had been telling us about this amazing village surrounded by castle walls which people live in. She was telling us about a festival they do every year where the people of the village dress up and create shows related to the history of their village and the castle. The festival did not start until 5 in the after noon so we had plenty of time to kill throughout the day so we decided to walk the walls of the castle.

Wednesday, 10 August 2016

On Wednesday we spent the day in the pool with the whole family, playing games and teaching the younger ones how to swim. We sat by the pool listening to music and playing games.

Tuesday, 9 August 2016

Today we decided we did not want to go out and do a lot, so we invited my family over to our villa for a pool party. We spent most of the day chilling by the pool, listening to music and teaching the little ones how to swim. We took a lot of action shots jumping in to the pool and shimming under water in my GoPro camera. In the afternoon we ran out of bread and beer so my dad, cousin and I ran to the local shop to grab some stuff and get ready for the bbq later on the night.

Monday, 8 August 2016

It was our first official day in Portugal and what better then going and relaxing by the beach. We woke up early and waited for my parents to go shopping to buy some food. When they got back we made some breakfast and pack lunches and then headed to San Martinho beach. When we got there we saw this thing in the ocean. It was a massive water course where we had to swim out and do different things. They included climbing, jumping and swinging and trying not to fall into the sea.

Monday, 1 August 2016

On Sunday 31st of July my family and I set off to Portugal. We flew from Birmingham airport and into Lisbon airport. The flight was 2 hours 30 minutes long but it felt so much quicker, this might of been because I am use to long haul flights.

Duke of Edinburgh is an amazing  way for people in the UK to get out, experience something new and help out the community. If you enroll to do the Duke of Edinburgh award then you will need to have some free time. It can be very tiring and time consuming but also very rewarding.

Saving money for traveling

Wednesday, 20 July 2016

Considering i am only 16 years old, I think its fair to say I do not know a lot about where money goes once you get it. Whether its into a mortgage, rent, shopping or food. Since I was 12 I have been working. From the ages of 12-13 i was a paper boy. I would get £10 a week and would work weekday morning's for around 30 minutes. Although i was not paying anything out, with this little wage I had manage to save £300 in a year.

My Tattoo

Monday, 18 July 2016

My Tattoo
Throughout my teen hood i have always been fascinated with tattoos. I have always wanted one but never knew what to get. Whilst i was thinking i would always ask myself, "do you really want this?" "are you okay with this being on your body forever?" "will you like it in 5 years?" I was almost trying to force myself to not like it so i could see if i would ever regret it if someone was to ever say something bad about it... would it knock my confidence?

New York

DAY 1:
March of 2015 my family and I took a trip to "the city that never sleeps" New York. we spent one week in this amazing state and did so many different thing. The first day that we landed we settled into our hotel and then went on a walk around Times, taking in the amazing sites and also visiting some of the biggest shops i have ever seen. The shops where so big that one of them had a Ferris wheel in the center of the shop which was actually usable. Since we did not land till the afternoon by the time we had checked n to the hotel it was almost night so only spending around 1 hour 30 minutes in Times square we went back to our hotel to sleep.

My Mini American Road Trip

For a while now me and my Dad gave been speaking about going skiing when i become finish school. I have always wanted to go skiing since I have never done anything like it before and love going to holiday where i am up and active and am learning new things. I was so obsessed with the idea of me and my Dad going skiing i would of killed him if he bailed... which he kind of did.
at the beginning of July 2016 my Dad came into my room, immediately i knew he either wanted something or had something to tell me. My Dad then said "Jamie, do we have to go skiing?" i looked at him dead in the eye and said "unless we are doing a road trip of America then YES!" i truly just thought he was bailing on me for no reason, then he looked at me and grinned and nodded his head. and said "Yes we are doing a road trip which you can plan." I seriously have never been so happy. i got my A3 book and started planning the route, airlines, car hires and the states we would visit. i truly have never been as happy as this.
